OK, so I have a dubia colony growing. Or potentially growing, I haven't actually seen any babies yet.

In the mean time, I am feeding crickets, but they are rather nastier than expected. :D

Are there any other feeders that would make a good stop-gap until I get the dubia colony working, but without breaking the bank? (Heck, if I had lots of money, I could just jump-start the dubias...)

I believe Turk roaches breed faster than dubias, but I don't have any personal experience with them. They're a lot cheaper than dubias, and they also can't climb. Try http://www.thebugpros.com. Otherwise, it's crickets. :p

You have an amazing blog, by the way. Khalil is so cute! Makes me want another beardie

Thanks! :D

Gotta get around to another entry, but I'm too stressed out about Khalil not eating yet. :(

Don't worry she will eat soon! I was stressed out when i first got rex with his eating. Took him nearly a month to start eating properly, now he eats like a champ :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
