Best place to buy a "normal" juvie?

I have had my beardie for 4.5 years. She is my baby. Well, my niece has horribly allergies so she can't have most pets. She loves Pheeny and really wants a beardie. She is only 8 so I think she should wait a couple years but her parents are thinking about it. I intend to guide them along the way. I don't want her to get a tiny baby like they sell at the "chain" petstores. I was lucky enough to get Pheeny as a 3-4 month old from a great local family owned pet store but they rarely have them. She doesn't need an expensive morph, which seems to be what most online breeders sell. Would I find a normal morph for a reasonable price ($50-60) at a reptile show? Thanks for any suggestions.

it;s actually getting harder and harder to find a "normal" dragon these days. the places I see the most "normal" looking dragons are unfortunately at pet stores

Well, it doesn't HAVE to be "normal" but I just want to pay around $50 or so for a healthy juvie. I live in upstate NY, so if it was from a breeder in the northeast, I would be willing to take a road trip to save on shipping.

I've got plenty from $35 & up, but I'm in Ohio....

You should check out TND Dragons. They are in Philadelphia. Most beardies are $100 average but they are some that are cheaper and some more expensive. One of my beardies came from Tom and he is beautiful and healthy. I've been to Tom's house and his dragons are well cared for, great looking and most importantly, healthy!

I bought my normal beardie as a juvie from a reptile show and paid $20 for her. I got her for $20 because she is missing half her tail, but she is the most loving beardie that I've seen :wink:

Reptile show is the way to go. I purchased one of mine there as a baby for a reasonable price. They had adults too. Not all breeders are the same though, so check the breeders before you go if that is possible.
