Best Number Of Bearded Dragons?

I'm posting this because I'm curious about what other owners decide is their "optimal" number of dragons in the house. Specifically, how many dragons would you want, at most, before it's time to say no to any more? What makes you decide that the number of beardies you have is enough, and how many do you have now?

As for me, I have three. I don't have a set limit for myself, but I want only enough to be able to spend a good amount of time with each and be able to care for them all. If I had to cut corners on some things, it would make me feel like a worthless owner.

I only have one now but I have had three in the past and honestly, I hated it. The daily care seemed more like a chore and they were more like a small collection rather then pets. I found that I had a favorite and he was the one I babied all the time.
I have though about getting a second but that would be the absolute max for me. Not because of time or cost but because I can only get emotionally attached to one dragon at a time.

I would say 4 is my absolute maximum. 3 was my max until I saw one on here that needed a new home and the previous owner lived near me. I'm glad I got her, of course! I now have 4 beautiful girls, and for purely financial reasons I would say that is my maximum and I will not be getting any more for a long time unless I win the lottery (but I don't play the lottery, so that would be a real miracle).

I also have a dog who is truly my favorite. I love my beardies, but I ADORE my labradoodle.

I have to agree with Gail, I had 3, and making the veg and feeding, bathing just seemed....boring, i didn't look forward to it,
Although i did love them all and always had time to get them out and have a cuddle..
And when there all spread out in different rooms it become difficult.
I now just have my two girls, Tiny and Nu...
and im not really sure if i want another one just yet

i'm the same way. i honestly couldn't imagine having more than just falkor - especially since i'm going to be having a human baby soon. i wouldn't be able to give enough attention to more than one dragon.

i think 2 is my limit. i currently have 2 babies and adore them both but honestly its hard for me with my work schedule. i dont get to have extra time with them as i would like, and like you i want to make sure my babies have great care when needed. with my schedule all i have is feeding time when i get home at 530-6 and then i cant really snuggle them because i want to make sure the food is digested so theres 2 hours and at 830 -845 lights are out... its hard for me... thats the only reason i have for stopping at 2. now i can tell you if i had alll day with them i'm sure i would add one more to the bunch

Dewey is my one and only right now and I think it'll stay that way for many years. He's just such an awesome little boy and I LOVE spending time with him. I would hate to have to put him on the back burner (so to speak) to give some of his attention to another beardie. Granted, I would definitely become attached to a 2nd beardie with no problem, but I don't think it would be fair to Dewey. If I did get more beardies though, I think 2 would definitely be my limit for the sake of giving everyone quality time.

I thought 1 was going to be me and my hubby's limit until he won a raffle and poof we have a second. He claimed the second as his when he heard it was a male  But a few weeks later of feeding and picking up poo he said that he is half my beardie, lol. I have to admit he does a great job. He feeds and spends time with him, but I think I'm the official poo-picker-upper. So now having 2 beardies is definitly the limit. Midna is my sweety pie that lets me cuddle, hold her for hours, lets me take her everywhere and lets everyone pet her kind of beardie. And as for Link I'm still working on that with him. So at the moment he is our hungry hungry hippo that we are working with and is a little clown that makes us laugh by doing the craziest things (he takes after my husband, lol  ). Besides other than the 2 beardies we have a 3 year old sulcata tortoise which pretty much is a loner, but I still love him, and a shih-tzu who loves being the center of attention, being constantly petted and if you don't pet her you will face her wrath of constant licks.

I bring this question up to myself all the time- rather it be while I run in to a pet store to buy crickets, or go to a reptile show, or about every time I get online and see adorable little beardie babies. Although I would love to have more, I know deep down that it wouldn't be fair to them because I wouldn't have the time for two. With 3 other lizards and two dogs, I just don't have the time. All of my other lizards aren't handling species so they don't really get the attention my beardie does. I have decided that if I ever DO get another lizard, it'll be a uromastyx. I love the way they look, and their care is similar, but they aren't as sociable as bearded dragons- they seem more of a hands off lizard. But I think that if reality struck and there was a beardie in need or i absolutely fell in love- I'd end up with another and find the time to make sure both were happy :)

I don't know what these people are talking about, save a HUGE error on my part at some point in the past couple months (preggo WAY too young, 15 eggs last night) I love and care for four beardies and one Sudan plated lizard. All but one of the babies will have a home with me, one is promised to a coworkers son for his tenth birthday. I'm already looking at new tanks.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
