Best length of UVB tube for a 40 gallon breeder

What size light would be the best to set up in my new 40 gallon breeder? I want to undermount it. Also has anyone ever attempted to drill a hole in a glass tank?

I don't think you can drill holes to a glass tank, unless you take it to a specialty glass shop.

If that's the fixture you're going with, you could try to make brackets so it could be clipped to the tank's brim.

24 inch, a 36 inch tube wouldn't fit in a 40 gallon breeder. You don't want it to span the whole thing anyway..

If you tried to drill a hole in a glass tank, it would all shatter. That's why when I start building another tank, I'm going to use Plexiglass so if something hits it, it won't shatter.
