Best brand&wattage MVB?

Hello all, I had a mercury vapor bulb for my baby and it worked amazing! I do not remember the name of it, so wanted to know your guys opinion on the best one to use for a 40g breeder enclosure. I accidentally shattered mine yesterday thanks!

The best I know of is ZooMed PowerSun UV 100W or 160W dependent on the distance from the lamp.

I use Powersun as well + like them, Megaray is another very good brand. These usualy need to be about 11-12" away. If they're on screen they can be closer but watch that the screen doesn't melt. But you prob. know that if you've used these before.

Ok thank you very much and yes I have a bracket mounted on the wall above her enclosure for it, so it will be easy to raise it a few inches. So a 100w for a 40f breeder would be best?

Which one did you have that just shattered ? If you were happy with that, it would be the one to get. You can always get the 160 + keep it suspended higher if you thought you'd need extra heat. If not, go with the 100.
