We are planning on getting our beardie soon...
I want to be prepared to get it the right foods... I have the color list bookmarked but I know some of the live foods aren't recommended when they are babies... We "plan" on getting a small one but we'll see.

Ok I know crickets are good (the size of the space between their eyes)
Probably start a Dubia beetle colony (if I use the "are" word it will be disallowed)

Wax worms as treats? once a day? Week?

What else can be offered daily or as snackszn & how often?

Also how often to dust crickets & where to put vitamins? & how often?

1 more ?.... If I goto walmart to get a thermometer... Where are they and exactly what am I looking for?

Thanks
Sean

Just how often do these things live up to their names?

Also on checking out beardie sites & ones for sale in some they don't seem to have the spikey beard.... Is this a morph or just the way the pic was taken/its standing?

And oh trust me! I've checked out your Dragons.... They are beautiful!

Their beards arent always puffed up. In fact 90% of the time their beards are not puffed up. You will only see one beard when it is scared, angry, or aggitated in some way (IE around another beardie after it hits puberty)

as far as the nick name pooper
1-2 times a day for the first few months of life
1 time a day until they hit around the 1.5 year mark
then every couple of days to a week.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
