The past couple weeks my 11 month old female has started acting different. She tears up her cage...spreads her veggies from one side to the other, fecal matter gets spread around too, etc. When I am in the room she is very active running around, nose bumping the wall. I take her out and she calms down and just rests on me for the most part. I think maybe she just wants out of her cage more.
However, last night I saw something strange. I was holding my male (about 3 years old and her father) and she started aggressively headbobbing in her cage. He in turn for the first time I have ever seen, waved in response for like 5 minutes. This behavior is completely backwards from "normal" when they see each other. I don't know if the other changes in her behavior are related or not.
Is this normal? Any reason I should be concerned?
