You can certinly dust the veggies if you want, just do one or the other but not both in the same day. I found it was easier to get Judah to eat his veggies if I put the Calcium on there rather than on the crickets.

I acctual use to take Judah out and put him it to a smaller plastic bin and then throw crickets in there for him. It was easier for him to catch them...but it made him a spoiled lil dragon. :D

Last couple of days he seems to have come round a bit, seems to be a bit more alert now, alot more moving about and aware of things around him. Maybe he has settled down after the move etc?

However he has gone from a pale underbelly to a stripey kind of one, right from under his chin all the way down..is this a sign of maturing just?

He has also started to sort of push up as if to say "Look at my new stripey belly!!" like he is showing off lol. I take it thats normal too?

I'll get pics up asap!!

Nope, those are stress marks. And completely normal. I've had my beardie for over a month and she still gets them once in a while. Especially on car rides or in the bath.

Sometimes they can get stress marks from your set up, as far as heat and UVB go..I don't really worry too much about Howie's stress marks though. As far as I know it's not a big deal.
I think after you get the reptisun bulb, and get your thermos to measure your temps so you can make sure they're right, some of those marks will go away.
Maybe taping some paper on the outside of his tank so he can't see anything will help him get used to his new home. I know that's helped other beardies before, worth a shot, right?

Well my wee beardie had to get put down last night.

We came down yesterday morning and he wasn’t good so we got him sorted out and went to work. Came home that afternoon and he had hardly moved so we took him straight to the vet. When she lifted him up and set him down he was a bit livelier, not much but just a bit so we concluded the worst course of action wasn’t the best.

She did however prescribe anti-biotics and mention there was a chance he had more underlying problems and that is why the person before us got rid of such a young beardie.

Anyways we got him home and after a wee while had deteriorated really badly. He started taking sort of mini convulsion type things, like spasms so we couldn’t see him struggle like that through the night. Took him to out of hours vet and she said the best thing to do was to put him to sleep. She said as we had only had him for one week he has definitely had problems from how he had been kept before, although not knowing his environment and diet it was hard to tell what his exact problems were.

Im really sad we couldn’t have given him a better life than the previous owner did but this was definitely the best thing we could have done for him.

Heres to wee Goliath !!!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
