Begging to get out of cage

Hi, for the past while my bearded dragon has been acting differently...

Although not negative he’s just been more interactive if I can call it that. In his cage he has a piece of driftwood for basking and as of lately been staying on the branch closest to the opening of his cage and pressing and clawing at the glass to get out almost immediately after I put him back. I don’t think he is in to small of a cage as it is 2x3x2 foot cage.

My main concern is that he isn’t getting his basking time in to properly digest because after I feed him he immediately wants to be taken out by me.

Should I be worried?

I wouldn't worry. My guy likes to be out of his tank too and will throw a fit if he's stuck there all day. I just adapted by setting up portable basking lights for him around the house so he can roam around and return to bask when he wants. It works well. Even without that you can return him to his tank when he gets tired of roaming. As long as he has an hour or two after meals, in the morning to warm up and in the evening it should be fine. They don't need to bask constantly.

my dragon does the SAME thing :lol: i just let hem stay in for 2 hours then take him out again he loves to run around the house
