Bee pollen as gut load?

I heard it was good for a gutload, and for humans, but the more I read the more skeptical I am.
Walmart was selling $9 bottles of bee pollen for $2, so I took the opportunity and got two of the bottles before really doing in depth research, but it looked interesting anyway and with that sale, who could pass it up?
Anyway, I cannot find any information on it being beneficial for any reptile except for Chameleons, and I've read more negative studies on the 'superfood' rather than positive.
Currently I gutload with a bit of freeze dride river shrimp fish food and plenty of veggies, I was thinking about adding some bee pollen to it, especially if it helps my beardie, crested gecko (rarely given insects, of course), and orange throated skink.

What is your views on this stuff?

Also! If you guys have any scientific studies that prove the helth benefits for humans and/or other animals, please send a link!

For myself, I’d stick with old fashion honey. As for the roaches, I don’t think they really care one way or the other so long as they have access to food and water.
