I'm an animal lover and bizarrely I'm finding myself becoming attatched to my Dubia roaches that it actually upsets me to see my BD eat them, I enjoy handling my dubias just as much as I enjoy handling my BD...does anyone else feel like this?

You could always separate a few roaches and make them your pets! That way you can become attatched to them and not worry about having to feed them to your BD :p

I have a cricket that I've been keeping in a separate container, I named him Cricky Cricket... I originally separated him out because he was bigger than the rest of the crickets and I didn't want my dragon to eat him cuz I thought he might be a bit too large. I was gonna dump him outside but I forgot for like two days, went to check on it cuz I figured he was dead, but he wasn't so I went ahead and gave him food and water and a piece of egg carton to crawl on/hide under, and now I'm just keeping him under observation (to see how often he sheds, how fast he grows, etc).

So yeah, I'm kind of attached to him. Lol. But not to the other crickets. They make me mad. They're dumb and they jump all over the place and they stink.

I agree put some aside as pets if you like. Otherwise I'd just stop handling them if you dont want the attachment.

One time I threw a bug in the toilet to flush it down but felt bad watching it drown so I used a piece of paper to get him out and let him go outside. Now thats bizarre, although I was younger at the time.

Glad I'm not the only one lol

In honour of 'Cricky Cricket', I now have 'Roachy Roach' I was going to call it 'Cocky the Cock' but that'd be wrong haha

So Roachy Roach or 'Richy Rich' as my sister is calling him, is one lucky guy

HAHA Cocky the cock. Well, hopefully Roachy Roach appreciates the fact that he is safe from your dragon.

Hah! I used to have an albino Oscar fish. I fed him goldfish feeders every few months. One day, I woke up in the morning and saw this flash of gold in the tank real quick. I realized very quickly it was a feeder goldfish that had been smart enough to survive almost 6 weeks in the tank, by hiding behind this little rock that Whitey couldn't get behind. Well I scooped that guy out, went and bought a small 10 gallon tank and set him up. I figured if he was smart enough to survive like that for so long, he deserved to live and live happily. Sadly, he is no longer with me, but he lived about a year or longer and was one of the coolest, pampered goldfish I ever had.

Lol. When you're a true animal lover, it doesn't matter what kind of animal it is... you can get attached to it no matter what.

not at ll i have 20 adult females set up in my living room. its a natural looking habitat with bark and fake plants inside with a very dim light just enough to see them. i have more people interested in that setup then i do my dragons or fish tank. those guys are very interesting and are smart as well. its no different then having a scorpion or a crazy spider cage setup.

I feel bad feeding my beardies horn worms..........most especially the huge ones. As soon as my dragons got them in their mouth , the worms squirm for help and it too makes me feel bad

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
