beardy not head bobbing?

hi everyone my bearded dragon is 8 inches long a male and 2 months old (thats what the breeder told me that i brought him from) and i heard everyone saying that they bob there head as soon as they hatch but mines havent bobbed his head yet! i would like to see this display in person but he isnt doing it i been watching him everyday but he doesnt do anyone can help me out here? thank!

My first beardie didn't head bob until he was around 10 months or so and still bairly does. He's very passive. Maybe you will have an easy going little guy

they only really bob their heads AT something. My girl is a year old and had never bobbed her head until I introduced a new baby beardie to the household! its a sign of dominance, usually, so without stimulation they dont need to do it!

yea they will body at something they see i believe that and its a sign of dominance! i just wish mine would bob his head i like to see it for my self so ima see when he gets older then it may start bobbing his head more!

I think they do it when they're frustrated too because my boy was our only beardie for a while and the few times he did head bob were at the wall when he was trying to climb the baseboards and at our tv stand because we blocked him from going under it with movies. lol that was funny to watch the wheels in his head turn as he tried to figure out how to get around the movies. lol he eventually tried climbing over them.

Mine stopped headbobbing in March of 2005, and the only reason I remember this is he almost fell off the back of the chair he was bobbing so bad, lol! Hasn't done it since

LOL, you wish for head bobbing now, but it gets SO old after a month or so. :roll:

He is doing great. He is finally eating again after brumating, and he is shedding now too! I'm really excited, because he was stained orange when I adopted him, and after 9 months of having him I finally get to see what his real colors are! I hope your little one is doing well too!

Wow so the bobbing up and down of the head is a sign of dominance? That's weird! Shep is 6 months old and has never been seen bobbing his head but when we brought Princess into the house, he displayed the submission arm wave. Princess has yet to bob her head but Spirit is 10 weeks old and she bobs alot. She bobs her head at nothing yet she is signaling dominance? That's so neat! I was reading to try to figure out what the head bobbing meant lol I have no idea what she's claiming she's dominant of but as long as it isn't stressing her out I'm fine with it.
