Beardy just started showing his beard to my daughter?

My daughter is 5 and she only holds him occasionally, he doesn't get upset with it or run away and I am always around. However, today while I was at the store my husband said that her and my son were jumping on our bed and he started flaring his beard. Ever since he has been showing her his beard. It came out of nowhere, he is usually very patient, even eats out of my two year old's hands. He showed it to me once but it seemed like once he saw who I was he stopped because it was literally for only a couple seconds. He is 5 months old, and he has also been very thirsty lately, I give him baths and I feed him veggies and I usually rinse them so they are wet. I recently put some water in and he started drinking it like crazy, so I've been putting water in more often. I don't know if this is relevant or not. Maybe he doesn't feel good :( besides that every thing has been fine. He eats great, crickets, dandelion, collard greens and butternut squash, has a 10 UVB retpisun bulb and a heating bulb. No night bulb because I live in a pretty warm place. We take him out about ever day and he enjoys it. Maybe it was just the jumping on the bed? Is there a way to get him to be comfortable again? Thanks.

If the beard flare started after jumping on the bed that probably startled him. They are wired to be afraid of things that fly overhead. I'd just give him some calm time to settle down. He will probably be fine after a bit. It's good that you're offering water if he's drinking it.

I wouldn't be too worried. Anything overhead (even me walking) spooks my guy. Sometimes he will just puff his body and sometimes he will show his beard. Keep offering water though because he sounds thirsty! :blob5:

she scared him..... get her to make friends by giving him food treats each day, make sure he knows she's the one giving the treats.

Also a bit quiet petting time with her and him in his tank each day and he'll soon learn to trust and not do anxious when she's around.

NO MORE BED BOUNCING ! best way to kill a mattress and base , and VERY DANGEROUS if she comes off and hits something hard.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
