beardy constantly turning black help?

i have a male beardy he is about yrs old just got him about 2 and half weeks ago he is in a 40 gal breeder and i hae a girl next to him in a 75 gallon she is about 7 or 8 months old when eer they see each other my male will just bobb his head and beard will turn black the lil girl will basically ae back its pretty cool should i be worried? i

Im no expert but from what i understand this is a mix of dominance and mating behaviour. Its a general "you see this beard? yeah its black. whos the man?????"
You are best to pop up a piece of cardboard in between the two tanks so they cannot see eachother. You dont want your female getting intimidated.

o ok will do that i just taped a background on the side so they cant see each other

yea they both seem fine now they both only do it now when they see each other like if im holding one the other will see and they start doing it .........

Hello,

Yes, that is mating behavior, but, they are way too young to breed right now. Putting the cardboard in between their tanks, was the wise thing to do, it will cut down on the stress.
