Beardy and Fire (literal fire)

So I was lighting a scented candle next to reptar (landlord coming by). And I noticed that he followed the flames. So I light my lighter somewhat next to him and he tried to eat it!!! Anyone else experience something similar?

Also I moved the flame in circle pattern.

Please dont light candles in the same room as your beardie... or at least dont let the smoke get to him...

I agree with the last poster, don't light scented or any candle near your beardie. The scents and smoke can irritate your beardies lungs and eyes. I have to ask why you would do that with your lighter, that's just inviting trouble.

So I do want to say in my defense that I didn't keep the candle next to him I was sitting in my only chair which was next to him. As far as the lighter went I did keep him more than good distance away, there wasn't really a way for him to get hurt by it. I was just curious because it's the only thing other than food he's been actively interested in since I've had him. He would move his head to follow it. The second I saw him open his mouth I put it in my pocket. I'm just wondering if anyone knew why he did that.

probably cause the flames flickered and he associated it with food.

Probably now that I think about it. I just find it odd because the way he followed it with his head and how he pronouncedly puffed his beard in a way I've never seen him do before.
