Beardies tail

Hey everyone! My bearded dragons tail is a different color than his body. It's a lighter but it looks different than when he sheds. The skin is not starting to lift or anything. I'm new to the bearded dragon world so maybe he is just shedding but I just want to make sure it's not anything serious! Not sure if I can post a picture on here or not??

His tail is also a lot smoother than the rest of his body. I'm not sure if that makes any difference haha

Definitely a shed. And your leatherback dragon is a beauty, love the leopard/cheetah pattern.
