I had been on vacation for a few months while my mother took great care of my beardie, but when I returned she had gotten to be such a big girl with some very big fingernails! She is right at about 1 year of age, 3/4 a pound and a long girl as well *( not sure exact length). Well before I left I never had any issues with being scratched, but now any time I hold her - even her just holding on, she leaves scratches that become bloody and painful. They are so bad it looks like I have a litter of kittens after holding her the last five days - some one have any ideas? Thanks =)

Sounds like it's time to trim those nails. Just cut a very tiny bit off the tip with some nail clippers. They even sell some made for reptiles. If you're not comfortable doing it, some pet shops, especially reptile shops, will do it for you.

I have ceramic tile as my substrate and it has worked really well at keeping his nails dull. The ceramic tile doesn't absorb any liquids so it's easy to keep clean as well.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
