Beardies and Dogs

So I am thinking about getting a dog soon. I was wondering what breeds you guys I have? I am currently living with the family (a big girl job pending!!!) and our German Sheppard seems too interested in my baby girl for my liking. Puts her nose on the glass and stares (nasty nose marks all over the glass!). Poor Elva just waves in submission! Do you guys have any suggestions? I am also moving into an apartment but I love walking dogs. Thanks for your input!

I think any dog raised with dragons will be fine. The same goes with cats, ferrets, bunnies....

I have 3 dogs and the only one interested in my dragon is my 1 yr old shih tzu, Duke. He is alittle afraid of the Ziggy, but Ziggy is not afraid of him at all. Duke follows Ziggy around and sits with us whenever he is on us. He smells him and occasionally Zig will "taste" his nose. I have a couple pics:

I let my dogs smell him so that they can cure their curiosity. The other two have smelled and don't care. Only Duke. I also have two cats. One ignores him and the other has shown alittle too much interest on occasion. I always have a water bottle near by tho. And Ziggy is never not watched when he is out of his viv.

It's just Orion that Chelsea wants to "mugg". She does that to cats and kittens, now Orion... just a scaley kitten in her eyes I imagine... it was funny the first vid watching those two... then when I introduced Orion to his Forever viv, she was looking to jump up at him.. But he beat her to it ! Startled the daylights out of her ! lol
They still play that game too... I'll jump at you...

My parents lab did something like that today, a breed I am leaning on. His name is Tyler and he came up to Ayra today and they both had their nose on the glass. All of a sudden Tyler jumped back, and then Ayra did! Then they touched noses on the glass again...and jumped back again! I was laughing so hard I hurt Tylers feelings and he left the room!

That's so funny. Duke did try to get into the viv when it was completely open once but that is really it. I have a dog visiting who saw Ziggy in his viv and was whinning and scratching on the viv. Once we took Zig out, the dog was afraid. Hehehe

Today, chelsea decided she wanted Orions greens... Yes she eats collards ... so I had left the door open, as I was getting roaches at the same time as the greens, and in she hops, munching away, while poor Orion glared daggers at her... lol
I was in a serious panic and laughing fit all at the same time... Sheesh !

That is so funny! I have one dog that will eat anything!!! Duke likes to chase crix also. That I usually call the cat for.

My choc lab is pretty well trained so she knows better than to get to close, but she wouldn't do anything even with the chance, she knows they are not food or wild haha. My sheltie mix is the same thing. You shouldn't have any problems if you get a pup and just do proper training with it. Good luck on your search!

ibizan hound and pit bull. both are scared of the dragons because kansas was an ass one day and wanted to know what nose leather tasted like and bit my pit bull on the nose and hung on. poor tesla's eye got as big as his head and he looked at me like get that thing off now it hurts! kanas let go and walked around the house head bobbing. then when phantom came home kansas wanted none of that and chased my sight hound around until phantom got the idea to jump up on the bed. he didnt like the couch because kansas learned how to climb on that. the bed seemed to be the only safe place for the dogs lol cuz mr kanzaman thought he ruled the roost.
