Beardie with Possible Broken Leg?

Hi guys, any help on this would be fantastic as I am kind of in a panic mode right now.
One of my young beardies, about 5 months old around 240g and male, I had him out and was letting him hangout, and I set him on my couch to run into the kitchen and grab a bowl to put some worms into. As I was walking back into the room, he had jumped off of the couch in that time and ran by the wall (which I hadn't seen, and right as I stepped onto the carpet, I almost stepped on him. I pressed down on his leg and he puffed up (was not NEARLY all of my body weight. ) I know this is bad, and I feel like the worst reptile owner in existence as this has never happened to me before and I feel irresponsible. But he isnt using that leg as much now, and it seems to be irritating him. Its been about an hour, what should I do to see if its okay, and if it is broken, is that recoverable???

Hello,

OH poor thing, but, accidents happen. I am sorry that happened to you.
The only true way of knowing if the leg is really broken, is to get an x-ray. Has the leg started to look swollen or is he just not using it?
For now, I would just try to lower his branches for basking so he doesn't have to climb right now & hurt it further.
He isn't moving it much at all right now?
Also, keep him a little warmer overnight too so it boosts his immune system, too.
Do you have pictures of him too?
Let us know how he is doing.

This is what currently is going on.
I put him back in the tank after the incident, I wasn't too sure if he was 100% hurt at this point. But the left leg, (I believe might have been what was stepped on). Not 100% sure. It just looked off, in the knee area. He started sitting weird for the next hour.

But when I got him to try chasing an Adult Male Dubia, he walked and use every leg. But still it looks off.. and when I mess with his right thigh, he doesn't really move or even blink, but when I was gently messing with the left he wanted to move around and seemed kind of uneasy. But he still climbed onto the mesh screen on the front of his tank and hung himself up to sleep like he normally does and he's still very alert. No visible bones protruding, maybe a hairline fracture or something along those lines.

On a seperate note, How much do X-rays typically cost? I need to makesure whatever needs to be done can be done to fix this.

Hello, sorry your beardie got hurt. If he is walking on the suspected broken leg, it many have not been broken. If you could put a picture of his leg and the way he sits, Drache and I could probably tell you what is wrong. My suggestions is to lower the basking spot and and higher areas in your tank to reduce further injury while he heals. Also, try and hand feed him when you are feeding him so he doesn't use the leg that is injured as much. About the x-rays, they can be pretty costly. Primarily, x-rays can cost upwards of $100 alone plus the $60-$80 fee for the visit.
