Beardie will not pass a bowel movement inside his viv

I find this unusual, but my beardie will not pass a bowel movement without me specifically getting him out of his viv and letting him run around on my floor. I have been lucky so far that he does his business on a spare piece of reptile carpet i lay in the floor for him. Is this normal for a beardie knowing where he lives and not wanting to pass a bowel movement where he lives, or do I need to get this checked out.

I think the movement of me getting him out, and then letting him run around (under my supervision of course) induces him to pass a bowel movement but I am not quite sure.

This isn't really uncommon,and trust me it's annoying to clean up cages, but my beardie ALWAYS poops in the bathtub, he prefers that than his cage,probably because they know thats where they eat and sleep, there smart animals like that

I figured that this was probably a normal thing to have happen, but just a concern that I feel better knowing it is normal than abnormal. Thanks!

No worries,but trust me if you leave them in there long enough they'll poop, they can only hold it in so long lol

Oh man, i cannot tell you how jealous i am of you and others who can get their beardies to poop OUT of the cage. Mine loooooves pooping on his basking rock which is a pain to clean lol.
