Beardie went crazy...

Alfie's 5 months old, and he's absolutely wonderful and never ever been a problem.
But now i'm worried...

Earlier today i got Alfie out and he was fine... All of a sudden he just went nuts, trying to run away and jump anywhere he could. In a struggle to keep hold of him i put him back in his viv... who immediately ran under his cork bark to hide.

Worried, i got him out from under the bark to see if he was ok as he had a small fall to the floor (thankfully i was on the floor anyway), and got the same reaction with a ( first ever :( ) full black beard and an open mouth... who then ran straight back under his bark, clearly really scared.

So i left him to carm down as i didnt wanna stress him out more... went in there half hour later and he was still under the bark, black beard gone but he was still very dark. I decided to give him a nice warm bath as this usually brightens him up and calms him down, which worked well.

He was absolutely fine, went back in his viv fine.

However for the rest of the day he's not quite been himself... He's been under his bark a lot and been pretty grumpy all day since it happened. Thankfully he's fine again now, and has fallen asleep on my lap as i speak :)

I really hated seeing him so scared like that... And he's never done this before. I just wanted to know what could have caused it? He could see out a window at the time, which he often looks out of when i get him out his viv and can make him go darker when he spots a bird, but he's never reacted like that.
I want him to be happy :(

Could be early stages of "beardie puberty", or something could have spooked him.

Has he been stooling and eating normally?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
