Whenever our little Rocco is in his viv he will turn black. I dont mean just a blackbeard, his whole body gets really, REALLY dark. After you pick him up and hold him for like 60 seconds hes back to normal colors and he's very relaxed. Is he just doing it for attention? We cant figure out why he gets so dark in his viv....

Can you tell us about your viv? What are his temperatures like? Do you use a basking bulb? Do you have a good UVB? What brand/type is it?
Often times they get dark like that when they are cold or trying to absorb heat. It may be nothing to worry about, but it doesn't hurt to try and rule everything out.

The cold side is around 80 degrees, the basking spot is around 104-106. The UVB is crappy, we got a MegaRay but it went out after 2 days and we are currently looking in to getting a replacement.... but the megaray guy wants us to pay shipping and handling all over again to Canada, even though his "amazing bulb" burned out after JUSt 2 days...well, money is tight. Right now we have in a linear UVB fluorescent bulb around 8 inches from the basking spot but I seriously doubt the bulbs power.

Yeah, once your UVB gets straightened out, I bet his color will improve a lot.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
