Beardie stopped eating

I have a i would say 1 to 1-1/2 year old male that i rescued about 3 weeks ago, he was abandon outside an apartment complex, he was very thin and scared when i brought him home, with lots of love and care he has trusted me and has become an amazing part of my bearded dragon family, the problem is this is the second day now he will not eat, nothing at all, he has continued to go the bathroom, today was small cause he is not eating but he went. if i take him out of his house he runs around like always, he is aleart and playful, he is not sleeping all day he is awake, last night he did go to sleep in the corner of his house instead of under the night lamp where he usually sleeps. is this normal for a beardie to just stop eating? any info or advise is greatly appriciated.

Hi. What are you offering him? Does he have a UVB and what are his temperatures? Also no need for a light at night they need complete darkness to sleep. If your house gets below 65 at night then you need to get a che. They give off heat no light.

Hello, he has been eating crickets like mad,and horn worms, he has been getting his calcium and vitamins regularly since i got him, he has a uvb light florecent tube not the twisty bulb, i know thoes are no good. his house (tank) 40g is usually 98 to about 105, he has his night heat bulb, thats black and its usually 75 to 85. he also like to sleep under a little blanket, he is a great breadie, it breaks my heart knowing someone out there abandoned him.

Hi. He probably is to hot at night with the black bulb. As long as it does not get below 65 he is OK. They like to cool down at night. Also if you do need heat at night get a ceremic heat emitter they just give off heat no light. Beardies like it dark to sleep. Also what brand is the UVB light? The Uvb lights can also affect their appetite. I hope its a reptisun 10.0 Tube.
