Beardie stopped eating veggies, has weird poos, and mostly hides away during day.

Hi,

I got a few issues and concerns with my lil pancake. He has stopped eating his veggies, fruits and any other plant matter. He's eating his crickets just fine. I'm not sure what happened here..

(See attachement to see his poo) 3rd or 4th time like that. Lack of veggies maybe? Thermostat is set to 40° now, his chopping board hide/basking platform is always higher temperature than what thermostat is set to, and when he basks he's lower temperatuee than expected. He also poops less frquent too. (This happened after changing up his set up)

(Before and after changing set up) And for couple weeks he's been mostly hiding under his chopping board. That became more frequent when I did change his set up.

I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not.
Can anyone help out, please?

Many thanks

What kind of UVB are you using? coil or a long tube fixture? The surface basking temps are 40C? That should be high enough - hes definitely hydrated --
Arcadia Dragon T5 one with reflector. Temperatures were reading 40-41° before I brought them up to see if his lazy behaviour changes. They read bit higher today, so i turned it down a bit. He barely drinks, and extremly rarely eats veggies so I'm unsure if he's actually hydrated lol.

He's been sitting in same spot today for ages (see photo). I'm not sure why he acts so lazy, rarely basks nowadays, and I'm not sure why he doesn't want his veggies. Addicted crickets?? Possible?

I agot him to drink some more water today while he was eating his crimkets. Been trying to get him to drink some water after noticing thick, sticky saliva.

Yesterday, he did finally a more normal looking poo. He had trouble doing it, he visibly kept pushing and pushing. He did it in the end, I will be stopping giving him crickets to replace them with dubias. I think it should be enough to only give him bugs 2-3 times per week, with daily sum of salad from now on.

I also can't figure out why he hasn't shed for a longest while. He used to shed like mad.

His tail seems to have a piece of skin wanting to shed off, hard to see though. There's a line separating tail base and tail. I'll try my best to give a proper photo.

His tail is also visibly paler due to this.

He's still lazy and sleeping letting himself get too cold, he won't bask.

Don't cut his protein until he is adult/near adults, they need it to grow. Also just offering 1 type of feeder isn't the healthiest. Try mixing crickets and dubias, hornworms are great for hydration, silkworms are a great staple. Hydration is extremely important also, dehydration leads to kidney and liver problems. You can use an eyedropper to drip it on his snout to get him to drink. If he doesn't you can add in a little none citrus fruit juice or punch to give it flavor. Go slow thought at his pace. If you try to rush or force it you could aspirate him. If you use juice for flavor be sure to use a wet cloth to wipe away any that runs down his chin. The juice could possibly cause bacteria or fungus to start in his scales.

Some (a lot)of dragons hate change, rearranging their setup can stress them, they may not eat well or act weird for a few days after making changes.

Changes happened weeks ago, so i'm not sure why he acts that way. All he does is sleep 24/7. Literally. Unless I take him out, but then he goes back under his log. He eats his crickets just fine, but not greens or fruits. Idk why. Can someone tell me why?

Able to get him to drink some water. Just need a bunch of dusted crickets just so he starts licking his snoot then start dropping water drops on it so he licks them up. I just did that, and he straight up refused to take some water in. Annoying.

Been told that they slow down as adults, but my boy ain't even a full adult yet. So no idea whats with him. He hasnt shed for a while either.

I dont really get answers to these questions that would actually help. Got him to drink some water the other day, he acted more energetic, but now, all he wants to do is sleep.. :/

Where is the UVB in the tank or top of screen? Please get a weight on him -- kitchen food scale weigh in grams -- keep track -- have you had a fecal done for parasites? If not please take one in to the vet for testing NO enemas please --- we need to start ruling things out as to why he is behaving this way -- are you using a solid clear bright white basking bulb ? No daytime bulbs no off white or yellowish bulbs--

UVB is inside his cage. Scale was supposed to come in today, but no 🙃 we'll see tomorrow or day after. Haven't done a fecal. Got a vet close to us, but they don't specialize in exotics I think. Could they do it either way? Or nah? I dont think we got got exotics vet near. Melon doesn't poop as often either so that would take a long time. For UVB I use Arcadia T5 Bearded Dragon one, for heat lamp I use Arcadia Deep Heat Projector.

Found this test on ebay, sent seller a question on how it works.

Also, is this wormer any good?

Oh and seller sent me a reply

How old is the dragon?
Got him on Oct. 22 last year. I assume he was like 1.5-2 months old then.

Is the parasite test fine? Seller says it covers all worms and parasites, and can do yeasts and bacteria for additional £5.
What about that wormer? (Asking just in case)
