Beardie Staying Under Hide A Lot More Recently

My beardie, Niles, has been spending a lot of time in his hide lately. He’s not sleeping, just lying there. He didn’t eat his salad the past two days but three days ago he ate his entire salad which is abnormal but I thought it was good?? Today he ate some worms and his salad, sat under his heat lamp for a while and then went under his log. The temps are 101°F to 71°F as always.
Recently, he had parasites but i got proper treatment for them and now he doesn’t have any. When I take him out of his tank, he runs around just fine. He was running around earlier today, but now he’s under his log. He doesn’t seem to be hiding though because his head is sticking out.

Sorry for all the text i’m just trying to give as much context as I can. I’m wondering if this is normal though? He’s gone under his hide for a whole day before but this has been going on for about a week now. He doesn’t stay under there all day, he’ll come out every once in a while or I’ll take him out and he doesn’t seem irritated by that. Anyways, thanks to anyone who read all this and can give advice or info!

Had this problem very recently, in fact, twice. What thermometers are you using? Definitely consider the fact that it's too hot in there.

The first time I had this problem, it was because I had set a new basking rock in there. It made the temps too high and so my beardie constantly sat in the shade. The second time was the same problem, too hot, and inaccurate thermometer. Try moving the heat lamp farther away, or using a different basking spot. If the basking spot is too warm, your lizard will sit in the shade 24/7, instead of simply going to the cool side.

If you use very accurate thermometers and are SURE that the temps are correct, then maybe you need to change the lighting. Compact bulbs are known to hurt the eyes of your beardie. I hope you find the solution soon.

Out of curiosity, is your beardie pooping regularly and how old it is? I ask only because mind was doing the same thing. I found an interested article that help a little

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
