Beardie sliding across floor

Hi everyone!

My adorable little beardie is super active and curious all the time, but when he walks across our hardwood floor, he can't like pick himself up and like walk across. Instead, he sort of like glides his belly across while trying to move his arms and legs as if he were walking.

Is this because he has some calcium deficiency? When he walks on carpet however he seems to walk just find, up on all fours.

Thank you everyone! :D :D

Hello,

This is very common when they try to walk or run on tile or wood floors. It's hard for them to
support themselves on the slick flooring like that.
Can he support himself on carpet, etc & walk & climb normally?

Hi there,

That's not uncommon at all :) Many dragons (and even other pets) feel awkward walking on slick surfaces like tile or hardwood floor because they can't get a good grip on it. He might eventually learn how to walk properly on it, but if he doesn't, just chock it up to one of his little quarks :D

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
