Beardie size vs age

:? Hi, I took a beardie from its owner on 28 Feb 2010. He/she wasnt handled much and is agressive and wont let me pick her up. She is 4.3in from head to backside and 10in from head to tip of tail. The previous owner said he/she was approx 5 mnths old... is this possible? Oh her/his name is gogga. I am very new to beardies and still very lost and scared to do the wrong thing.

It is a bit on the small side but with the right food and lighting it'll flourish.

If it is aggressive and wasn't handled much, it's likely it wasn't well cared for either. Make sure gogga has plenty of UVB and heat to help her digest her food. Phoenix worms are a good way to raise a healthy beardie as well. I fed mine Phoenix worms and he's a big boy now. As for it's size, even if it hasn't been well cared for, you can easily make up for that. Also, beardie's grow at different rates, so maybe it just hasn't hit its growth spurt yet. My advice: feed it lots of dusted crix (size appropriate) and phoenix worms. You can also feed it squash and sweet potato baby food off a spoon. : ) Good Luck!!
