My bearded dragon Oscar is acting very strange. He has been staying in his half log hide for 3 days now. Sometimes his eyes are closed and he is sleeping, and sometimes his eyes are opened up. When I take him out, instead of him exploring like he usually does, he heads into the dark (under my bed, my desk, etc) If I move him near his food, he will eat it, but he wont leave his hide to eat the food himself. Also , if he eats his food, he doesn't bask to digest it? What is wrong with him? :(

We need photos of him and his entire enclosure and lighting. Then we need to know what UVB light you have, how old it is, and how far it is in inches away from his basking spot, and if it's on top of a mesh lid or under the lid. Then what basking bulb? Also, what is the temperature of the Basking Spot, the hot side, and the Cool Side? What type of thermometer are you using to measure the temperatures? And what is his daily diet?

You can take the photos and then upload them to the forum by hitting the "XIMG" button.

Sorry for the late reply. He seems to be doing better (He ate and basked afterwards) but in case anything like this happens again.... I have a 24" reptisun 10.0 that is about a month and a half old. He is in a 40 gallon tank and roams free for about an hour a day. It is on top of the mesh lid. Basking spot is 100 degrees and the cool side is 73 degrees. I am using an analog thermometer. His daily diet consists of kale, dandelion, or pok choi, and give him blueberries, apple, carrots, strawberry, banana, and bell peppers as treats. I give him freeze dried crickets and grasshoppers and dust his food with Flukers Calcium with vitamin D3 five times a week. I will be switching him to live food shortly.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
