Beardie seems to like red light

I am wondering, since I have seen several posts advising against red lights at night, if anyone else is seeing success with them. Our beardie seems to fall off to sleep when we have tested the red light at night. She goes to her basking place where the light is a goes right off to sleep.
I usually wake up to turn it off soon after because of the posts I've seen advising it could hinder her sleep. She doesn't wake but (again) I do. :)
Thanks for any advice.

Its most likely not the red light she actually likes, its the heat produced by it.

Since beardies can see all the colors we can and possibly more, just think of it as being in a room with a red light shining into your eyes at night. You may be able to get some sleep but its not going to be very good sleep.

I agree.

Remember, dragons have a 'third eye' on the top of their head, that is used in large part for sensing the colors of the light. High amounts of red color tell the dragon that it is nearing sundown, and elicit the circadian rhythm to start winding them down for night time. So really their is no real issue with the red light perse, it's more in how most people use it. And using it as a night light all night is one of the wrong ways to use it.
There is no real practical way to use it, for what it's worth.

You should never use any type of illuminated heat source at night, they prefer it dark and cool. This allows the to actually slow their metabolism down and get rested for the next day. High heat at night is detrimental to their health unless they are sick and, then 85° is optimum.
A CHE 'ceramic heat emitter" is only needed if the temperature in your house drops below 65° at night, "they do not emit any light just heat"!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
