OK so today i went to my local pet store to pick up some mice and ferret food ,and the owner who i have became aquianted with because i go in regularly to either buy products for my balls ,red tails and my other scaled friends . she knew that i have had bearded dragons and that i have givven her some advice on the basic care of beardies but today when i went in to the store she stopped me at the front desk and asked me if i could look at one of the beardies she had aquired(i dont know how long ago she couldnt remember ) .She said that before she went on vacation that the beardie was doing well but when she got back her employees had moved the beardie in to a isolation tank and that when she looked in on it it wasnt looking to healthy so she asked me if i could try to get the beardie back to health .I said yes because i am doing it for the beardie not the pet store .

some of the things from my knowledge on beardies which i am still learning ,i see that the beardie has a curve in her spine pic below (sorry its from my cell phone i am not home to use my camera )

and also that she is very skinny and very weak . She has a calcium defiect which i am sure caused the slight curve in her spine. i was just wondering if there is anything i can do from home because i think its just mild but i want to get your respectable opions and i thank everyone ahead of time for your input.please dont tear me down to much like i said i am doing this for this beardie, not the pet store that asked me to . if there is nothing i can do at home i will take it to the vet .

Why would we tear you down? It's great that you are trying to help this little one get better! :) She looks like she could use some good UVB and a good feeding. Firstly, a bath might do her some good. Nice and warm up to her elbows. This will help hydrate her.

UVB is next. If you could get her either in the sun (in a box) or under a Reptisun 10.0 tube, that would be great for her.

After she gets nice and clean and hydrated and warm, you can see if she wants some babyfood (turkey/chicken mixed with squash and a bit of calcium powder) We don't know the state of her digestion system yet, so this will help get her fed while not risking impaction.

Good luck! :)

I want to say thank you for giving this little girl the love and TLC she deserves and then taking her as your own. You have done an amazing thing! It takes a special person to do something like this and you should never feel like anyone is going to be upset with you! I wish you and your sweetheart of a little girl all the absolute best! :D

What a sweet girl! I am a bit concerned about the spots on her tummy. Have they come off in the bath since the pictures were taken?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
