Beardie prefers the cool side - I'm worried.

Hey guys.

My Berdie is coming up to 1 and a half years on soon and has been in good health, however my Beardie preferences the cold side. He just spends his time in his hammock or relaxing on a log on his cold side and rarely basks. I actually have to move him to his basking spot, or he wont bask.

What could be the problem? My temps are good, and he gets his right supplements, etc.

Some UVB lights can hurt beardies eyes. My beardie always end closed his eyes and I got a new UVB and the problem was solved

You really should be using a Repti-Sun 10.0 Fluorescent tube bulb for the UVB.

That might be part of the dragon's problem is the wrong UVB.

Ok. May I ask, what's the difference between the Glo and Sun?

If I remember correctly, Glo has higher UV index which is NOT like the sunlight. The SUN has an index closer to that of the sunlight. Glo has been shown to damage eyes because of the low UVB wavelength.

Also what are you using to measure your temps with? If it's a dial or a stick on thermometer they are known to be as much as 20* off of the real temp.
