Beardie pillows & blankies?

My Beardie loves to sit on pillows and cuddle in blankets. Right now I only let him have soft items when he is supervised. Would it be OK for him to have soft items in his tank all the time like a pillow or stuffed animal or ferret bed or something like that? Or would it pose a safety threat?

THANK YOU.

The only info I can give you is that the fabric we make blankies and pillows out of,(I can't remember the name right now) will not catch on fire from the light shining down on it. Gosh, that's feeble, but the best I can manage at the moment.

Both of my beardies have a small fleece blanket and a little stuffed animal in their vivs. They've had them since they were babies. They are constantly cuddled up on them. One used to have a habit of chewing on a blanket, Or rather just holding it in her mouth, when she slept as a youngster so she only had a rag for a while since she stopped her nightly chewing she's been upgraded to fleece. I've had no bad experience in doing this and it seems to make them really happy.

Awesome, Fleece was exactly what I was thinking of using. I'm going to have so much fun going to the fabric store & picking him out patterns :)

I had made Pablo a bed that he had been sleeping on, but since I ordered a blankie and pillow from Dawn (blondie something I believe is her name here) I can't convince him to sleep anywhere else. He absolutely LOVES his pillow! He is ALWAYS on it. With him bruminating off and on I'll constantly find himself snuggled up into it. He literally uses the pillow every night, which surprised me he figured out so quickly it was for his head. I had a small loofa dog stuffed animal for halloween in his tank, and he would lay on that occasionally, but took it out after halloween and havent purchased a christmas one yet. He has a beanie baby under the tree right now, so not sure if i'll buy another or hold off until Christmas for him to get that one. I'd highly suggest getting a blanket in there, and a pillow!

All my 3 beardies have blankets, the adults have pillows, I also had a friend crochet some bearded dragon stuffies for me and my Big female is currently brumating sleeping on hers with a pillow and her blanket. My male has always slept with a blanket.
my 7mon baby beardie always lays on her's in the day time and sleeps sometimes with it in her hammock at night. She also cuddles with 2 stuffed animals as well.

Just the person I want to talk to. I've always wanted to knit some blankies for Draco but was concerned about his nails getting caught in the wool. Do you have any problems like that with the crocheted stuffies?? If not I am going to be knitting a lot. I can also make him stuffies!! :laughing6: Anyone that wants a knitted stuffie or blankie please talk to me. :)

That's really go to know! I actually am a knitter but I just assumed knits would catch his nails...now I think I'm going to have another look at my stash and see if there is anything in there I think I could use for him! thanks!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
