Beardie picky with who feeds him/her?

I've realized that I've been the one to hand feed, bathe, and prepare Roku's food. This past week I've been sick so I quarantined myself from him since I didn't want to risk anything and pretty much dumped all my duties to my boyfriend. This past week Roku has outright refused to eat from him or anything prepared by him....and quite honestly just shut out the world and hid in his cave. Today I was feeling amazing and decided to break the quarantine and feed him, bathe him and chop up all his veggies....instantly started eating and basking like normal. In fact I haven't seen these happy colors in a while! I keep joking about how Roku prefers me over my boyfriend and how he doesn't chop his veggies, etc etc. Lol. Just wondering if this has happened to other people were you beardie just prefers to be fed and handled over other people?

Yes my rescue dragon, Papa Smurf! He doesn't eat well for Daddy (my husband) and didn't eat at all for the reptile shop when we boarded him there for several days. He will eat as if he has been starved for weeks when I feed him - he is a bottomless pit.

i bet if you just didn't feed them for a day or so and then the boyfriend or other fed them it would work a lot better lol.

Lol, he tried that method only to receive the stink eye from Roku. Oh well, he's back to his regular feeding schedule from his favorite slave.

ugh - it's so stressful for us "Normal slaves" though when we go out of town - my boys don't eat very well for my pet sitter!
