S shanation Member Sep 22, 2009 #3 whenever i let my beardies run around outside of their cages ill put a bowl of pellets on the floor and they always eat their fill and then go play around. they havnt seemed to have any negative effect so i would say why not?

I totally agree, i use beardie pellets but only as an addition, not the main food source. Fresh greens and insects are the way forward!!! Xx
