My bearded dragon Clementine (female) just turned a year old on christmas and im not sure if shes changing because of winter (i live in canada) or because of her age. a little history first...she was a rescue beardie at 6mon and very small for her age, terrified of crickets and cant digest any bug with a hard chitin outside very well so we only feed her soft feeders (as expensive as that may be.) Finally got her to eat veggies out of a dish and our hands. Then winter hit and she would only eat them if we fed them to her. She went to vet for a check up and to make sure a recent impaction (tried supers but she couldnt digest them either) had passed...herp vet with a lot of experience went into detail about husbandry and said i was spot on so no issues there. her new tank is still being built so she is in a tank that isnt ideal but not too small. But now...id say about december...she stopped eating completely unless i seringe feed her purees or shove greens in her mouth and the only worm she will eat a couple of is silkworms...ignores butters (which she loved so much she would go through your fingers to get) waxies horns and her pheonix worms. She recently had a wax that turned into a moth and got me excited but wouldnt eat the worms...im thinking it was just because it was the same colour as a silk. Should i just continue with silks, babyfood, and purees? She has no parasites...she gets a bath every day and poops every other day sometimes less or more depending on the success of her feedings....is she trying to brumate? She is definately more sleepy but in no way lathargic and still runs around and swims. She doesnt have any eggs forming. Shes very hydrated. She gets all her vitamins....help! Is this normal?
