Beardie not eating but gained weight? Help a teacher!

Ramses is a class pet in my class.

When I got him two years ago he was malnourished and weighed 116g. He then ballooned up to 379g over the years. Around Jan he stopped eating almost everything. He no longer ate the hornworms and veggies he loved so much. He will eat a few superworms and roaches now and then and occasionaly eat some lettuce by mistake, but we're talking MEAGER amounts of food. (Last week was a total of four supers and 2 smalll ices of lettuce). I got a fecal done and he had pinworms (a VERY small amount though). I gace him the prescribed Strongid two weeks ago and there really hasn't been any improvement.

My students weighed him today and he now weighs around 385g!?

Any ideas? Please give us some advice!

Are you sure its a he? You should never feed your dragon lettuce. Greensas in collard, mustard, turnip, dandelion, nothing with the word lettuce in it at all. But first you need to make sure he isn't a she.

Well I dunno if it helps answer the question, but Ramses is a FEMALE (99.999% sure). SHe has only eaten a couple superworms all week and her weight is now 393g. She also hasn't pooped in almost 2 weeks despite warm baths and belly rubs.

And to make things even weirder her face is starting to shed!?

My guess would be that she's going to lay eggs soon. There is a good article in the breeding section on how to prepare for it and make the laybox. If she starts going crazy and digging and scratching all around her tank, she's trying to find a spot to lay her eggs.

That was one of my guesses, but this has been going on for a few months now. Also I have never seen her dig or even attempt to dig.
