Hi all,

Got back from work today and noticed Izzy was in the same place as she was when she woke up (on then cool side) picked her and she was pretty cold so I took it she hadn't moved. She was awake and sat up so I put afew crickets in which she ate but there was still a hopper in there which I put in this morning. Put her under the basking bulb to warm up but she still be to not move much.

She's about 8/9 months old and about 16" long, she was being treated for worms about a week back but rang the vets and she still has some so will need to get her to the vets again. Didn't know if it was the start of brumation bit I though she would sleep rather than be awake all the time. At what age would brumation start?

Any info or ideas is very much appreciated.

if she still has some parasites, then this might be why she is not basking, or it could be her body starting to slow down for a brumation cycle. I would definitely try and get the parasites eliminated if and before she decided to brumate. My dragons are starting to lay around away from the heat and have slowed down noticeably over the past 2 weeks. hope you can get her fixed up

One thing that slightly concerned me was while I was giving her the meds, I had to mix the meds with 0.7ml of water for 7 days which did seem alot of water. She didn't go to the toilet for over 2 weeks and when she did it was quite large and mainly white (as you would probably expect). Been as this is harder, I didn't know if she struggled to pass it. Is there away to help her along when she goes for her next deworming treatment?

Thanks

I noticed mine is not basking either, the only time he goes under his basking spot is when i have just fed him. Then he moves after 5 minutes back to his long where he sits all day, is this brumation this is my first beardie and hes 4 months old so i dont have a clue. What happends during brumation ?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
