Beardie not as bright coloured after shed

My beardie is 14 months. She shed her head and upper body about 3-4 weeks ago and has just finished shedding her belly, lower body, tail and legs today. She is a normal colour beardie, sometimes creamy yellow at her brightest (not citrus) but i've noticed where she's shedded the colour is more a boring gray now (not dull like she's going to shed again) rather than the yellow tint she used to have (where she hasn't shedded in middle of her back is still brighter than the new scales). I am wondering if anyone knows why she is not as brightly coloured as she was after this shed- could she brighten up once her new scales get the UVB? I can't remember if this is usually the case just after a shed with her. Thanks for any insight

p.s. she has a brand new arcadia 12% UVB.

Depends on the shed really. I know with Iccarus he can shed and still look dull and not as bright, but then after another shed his colors perk up again. Maybe yours just has to adjust to the uvb, or maybe it was a dull shed? :dontknow: I would think that if it's dull, give a bath, and then put under the uvb and heat and see if that perks the colors up, or that it could be another shed coming on really fast.

Thankyou for the reply. I gave her a bath earlier on and will do again tomorrow. When she's got her 'happy colours' on she looks nice (if you know what i mean- she always looks nice to me whatever her colour) but its strange how its more grey than her last colour. She has started growing again so maybe your right and its another shed due. thanks again
