Hello Everyone!

My name is Jess and I've been a herp lover all my life and actually coming up on my 9 years with my green iguana Tiny. I've owned viper-tail geckos, gargoyle geckos, crested geckos (currently have 1.1) owned and bred pictus geckos and am now about to acquire my first bearded dragon! I'm actually currently undergoing the torturous anticipation of my new 7 week old female Crimson Leatherback Het Hypo Trans, should be arriving any minute now! :)

It's been a while since I've been on a reptile forum and I'm eager to share my knowledge of reptiles and even more eager to learn more about my newest addition.

Thanks! I got her from Randy at www.beardeddragoncentral.com
He has lots of great looking beardies, it was hard to choose!

Unfortunately we didn't make the next day shipping deadline yesterday so she's still in transit from Florida. Although I made arrangements with the post office and they're going to call me as soon as she arrives even if it's 2am.

Got Daenerys' cage all tested out, a rather simple setup for now I stacked basking rocks under the UVB light and basking light that temperature is averaging 110-113 the cool side which also has a hideaway cave that you can pull the outside rock off and see her sleeping is averaging a temp of 76.

Put the UVB tube light on a timer to turn on and off 6:30 am 6:30 pm the basking light will be manually turned on as I have that plugged into a thermostat to regulate the temp.

Do you leave your basking light on the entire time you have the UVB light on or do you only keep it on for around 4 hours?

Basking light should be on at all time when the UVB is on because just plain UVB is harmful to their eyes and they need 1 hr before eating and 2 hrs after eating of 95* or higher to properly digest.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
