Beardie mouth sore

Hello all!
I'm a new bearded dragon mama, he's between 4 and 6 months old. I noticed today he has a sore on one side of his mouth which I have attached a picture of. He has been eating as much as usual, he's usually really picky and only eat crickets but lately I've had him eating meal worms and some bearded dragon treats "Bites" I clean his cage and bathe him usually once a week. He's been shedding a lot lately, and though he's always pretty high energy he has been especially jerky lately. The only other change I can think of is recently I changed his tank from brown carpeting to green. Any idea what might be going on? Help please!!

I didn't want to just read and not reply as I know how much we worry about them. I took a look at the pic and I am not It sure what it is (sorry as I know that is not much help) but I did want to ask if you are able to see inside his/hers mouth? I am going to do some research. This site is amazing and have helped me a ton as well. Hope someone else will jump on and give you some relief as I am sure they will.

One more thing.... maybe it's left over shedding..... ???

Hi. I don't think it's a left over shed. Have you left crickets in his tank over night? They like to bite. I'd put some raw unpasteurized honey on it.

I don't believe it's leftover shedding either unfortunately. I looked inside his mouth and it looks normal I think..
I put a little raw honey on the sore last night, didn't really look different today.

I just gave him a warm bath and scrub down, here are some updated pictures:

I can already see the sore getting darker again.

Is it actually an indentation in to his mouth ? Keep up with the raw honey, but be sure there are no loose crickets in the tank to bother him. It won't heal over night, so give it a little time. Don't rub or scrub it, that will possibly hurt him. Hopefully this will heal up without any problem but if it gets worse your best choice is to take him to an experienced reptile vet.
