Beardie lives in danger becuse of fraud

Today I needed a UVB bulb for Puff so I decided just for kicks to look at walmart and see what thay might have. Bad move. I found some light bulbs wich were advertised as being for reptiles. Thay listed sevral tipes saying "good for snakes, bearded dragons, ...."There were pictures of reptiles all over the packageing. In short it looked good in the box. Thank God I had the information found on this sight. Becuse I decided to call the compiny and ask about the output of these bulbs. I asked the man at the compiny if the bulbs had aney UV at all A or B and he admited thay did not. I asked him if there was aney differnce between there lightbulbs and an ordnery house bulb....there is no differnce. I hung up the phone. I was so mad that this company was advertising somthing as being good for my beardie when infact it is nuthing more than a dresed up over priced house bulb! Im scared that sombody who dosent know better will buy these bulbs and end up killing there pet. The sails assocate at walmart was no help he tryed but he honestly had no clue about how bad this could be for somone. I educated him before I left the store and he is going to speek to his boss about it. What im wondering is how can a company commit frud like this and get away with it? Sorry for going on about it it just made me so mad!

Lisa, I must admire you for your diligent research and calling the company ! None of the lighting is Required by law to have honest and clear information on packaging for reptiles. Stick with the Sun, or the top 3 MVBs and you shouldn't ever have an issue. Also, continue the great work !

Janie, Thanks for the complament. I was so descusted last night about how thay are treeting our herbs. I definatly had to blow off some steem. It seems to me if your gonna advertise and represent somting as being GOOD for the intended use than it should be. Puff is safe and happy under some reputable bulbs made by compinys that care!
