Hello,
My 2 year old bearded dragon has recently started acting weird. My fear is that he may have gotten sick.
Recently, he began getting more lazy. He started staying on the warm side of the tank, laying there until I feed him food. He is basking more and for longer, often spending up to 3 hours basking under the sun. I've checked for signs of sickness, but he appears healthy. His skin is bright (although there are some random orange spots, but I believe its his color pigments), he is not dehydrated, he eats, he poops once a day, his eyes are alert and opened and he is breathing normally. The only things that concern me are the orange spots as i mentioned earlier, and weird, tiny and yellow like thing on his left eye (I asked my parents if they could see it, but only I and my sister could.) He no longer chases for his crickets as well, often staying in one spot and waiting for the crickets to come to him. I believe this is a hunting behavior that he developed, but I'm still not sure if it has to do with him being sick.
His poop is normal.
His basking light is a 75W Intense basking spot light (exo-terra).
His tank is a 50 gallon tank (I plan on replacing it soon)
He doesn't seem to have any physical disadvantages, only that the tip of his tail is crooked.
Could he be sick?
P.s: he was more active before this week. Often times climbing everywhere and running around the house. Now he just lays in his tank under the basking area or lays under the sunlight when I bring him out of the tank.
