So I’ve heard of the lines before they’re called “stress” lines. But I’ve had my beardie for a little over a month now, and I’ve noticed before I pick him up he has those lines, but the moment he’s out and on my arm or shoulder, they go away. Could it have something to do with the tank? I have a 55gal and a 150w powersun. He has a cool side and a hot side both w/ uvb and I have been told that the powers in was fine for beardies. My beardie is a 1.5yr old male.

He is probably basking when he is darker. When he stops his skin lightens up. It could be due to the heat from your hands or it could be that he's away from his light so his basking instinct cuts off. It's pretty common though and shouldn't be a problem. How does he react to handling? Does he seem calm and happy?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
