Beardie has gas?

Lowan is 11.5 months old now and is 18.5 inches long and 470 grams.

Two months ago, he had stopped eating on his own, lost weight and looked bloated. Since meds and being force fed he's gained 60 grams and is looking much better.
The vet ran blood (biochemistry and hematology) and x-rayed him---thankfully everything (kidney, liver values plus white cell count, xray and etc) all came back normal.
X-ray showed a bit of gas in his intestines, but otherwise everything was ok.
Physical exam was normal, he looks good, is well-hydrated and very strong with a lot of energy.
I've had to force-feed him, give him water and bathe him daily. He poops at least every other day usually daily (unfortunately he's *impossible* to get a good fecal sample from as he will only poop in his bath. Otherwise he will hold it as long as he needs to...little bugger.)

He was originally given two rounds of panacur and baytril for parasites and gut infection plus what we suspected *might* have been the sub-clinical/atypical beginnings of a respiratory infection.
Given his normal bloodwork vet does not suspect any organ issues, and is not really worried about parasites/worms not treated by panacur as she said those types of organisms usually will show up on a blood panel by way of the values. Unfortunately I *cannot* get him to go poop outside of his bath so a fecal is not possible at the moment to really get a look-see at what may or may not be in his guts.

At this point, the vet is suggesting a gradual cutback in the amount/frequency in his feedings to see if he will get hungry again and learn to eat on his own, while of course keeping an eye on his weight and stepping in to feed him if he begins to lose too much weight. He will also be getting some benebac/probiotics. Plus it'll cut down on his stress.

If in a month or so he fails to feed on his own, we will try perhaps more dewormer (and hopefully with a fecal) but for now, as he is doing very well (loves to run around and is very alert) minus the not eating and the bloating the vet wanted to give him a break from the medications.

Diet is currently 10+/- crickets a day given his age (he was eating salad on/off prior to his stopping eating) but I will be adding in either pureed veggies/fruits or baby food and moving him to a more adult beardie cricket schedule.

Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experiences?
If anyone has any ideas to get him to 'go' in his cage so I can get a fecal that'd be great. He's just never pooped in his cage except when he was very small (as a rescue he came to me at about 1 month old).

Stats:
Temps: hot 110-115 F (there is a cooler portion at about 90-95 for him to choose) cool 80 F
UV: Zoo Med Reptisun 10.0 bulb 4 months old (yes, I know, but due to language laws and all that where I live finding products can be difficult---been trying to track down a tube for a while now however he was raised under these bulbs and hadn't had any issues)
Cage is 36x12x18 (also due to be upgraded, but he literally runs around the house for an hour every day to make up for it and it was either $400 in bloodwork and medical help or new cage)
He has two repti-hammocks to try and make use of the vertical space which he loves and sleeps in all the time, as well as a cave for hiding
He is offered salad every day and has zoo-med natural beardie pellets to eat at his leisure (which he hasn't done since he was a baby)
Supplements are d3 calcium during the week and multivitamin on the weekend (being changed to calcium 3x weekly and multivitamin 1x a week)
Lights are on about 12 hours a day
Nothing has changed in his location in the last 6 weeks (before that we raised him up a bit more to see if added height would make him feel better) and we don't have dogs/cats or children to stress him.
Substrate is either barebottom or paper towel. Usually bare though (he was raised that barebottom with no issues).
We are pretty sure he is a male, but regardless he has never been exposed to/housed with another beardie since I've had him from 1 month of age.

Does he have a set time you usually bathe him? Does he do the butt wiggle when he is about to go? If you catch the signs, you might can pull him from the bath just as he is about to go. Not sure if it will work but might be worth a shot.

If you bathe him at the same time every day you may be able to get him on a routine so if you put him in a place he can poop at the same time as the bath he may start to go outside the bath based on the time.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
