MEDICAL EMERGENCY: hi my little one has got diarrhea and I'm not sure what from! I recently went to petsmart to get some more food from him and I only do this every two week so I buy bulk because of the distance and I asked for wax worms as a treat for him but I didn't realize they gave me mealworms (I have a diet plan for him consisting of veggies and buffet blend from fluckers) so I get home and see MEALWORMS In bright red letters and I couldn't waste the gas to go back out there so I said I would try it could this be the cause please let me know ASAP

Diarrhea is not uncommon. How many times has this happened? If it's just once or twice it may just be an upset stomach. This can happen for a variety of reasons including a change in diet.

its happened twice so far but if it happens again I'm gonna have a fecal test done at a local vet

So you feed him fresh veggies, that's good (depending on what they are), but then you feed him Flukers Buffet Blend, which I'm not familiar with but I'm assuming that this doesn't consist of live feeders? Maybe dehydrated insects or something similar? He should be fed live insects as his protein, not just as a treat. Wax worms are a treat, yes, but he should be eating live crickets, roaches, etc. Dehydrated insects are horrible for them.

Yeah I tried to buffet blend but I'm gonna switch back to normal crickets... I noticed that he had also been drinking a lot of water along with eating greens so it could have been an excess amount of water causing a watery stool

Hello,

A lot of things can contribute to diarrhea, such as stress, diet changes, etc.
Which greens are you feeding him?
Since he has had some looser stools, be sure to give him some oral fluids to help replenish what he has lost.
Let us know how he is doing.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
