Beardie has a lump and is coughing

Rufus is about 4 years old. He had a lump a couple years ago and I had it removed, they said it was just a fungal infection that the body shielded off and was nothing to worry about. Since then however, it has came back and it is even bigger. After he came out of brumation he hasn't been eating as much. I've been to two vets and both advise I have it removed, one's estimate was $700 and the others was $400. This includes removal and lab work.

Recently however, he has developed a dry cough, almost like he's gagging. He has been eating a little bit but as I said, not a whole lot.

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I can do about the coughing and the lump.

Hello,

The lump previously removed, was it cancerous, did they not do a biopsy? Do you have any pictures?
Where was the lump at before?
If he is coughing, it is most likely going to be related to the problem at hand. Is his beard black at all right now?
I would get it taken care of & $400 is not bad at all, for the surgery & labwork.

Yes, they did biopsy it and the result was negative for cancer. The lump was in the exact same place. And his beard is clear at the moment however he does normally have it semi-black.

I've been giving him repta-aid, and have also been giving him some turkey/chicken/squash baby food since insects and greens aren't enticing him much at the moment.
