So I was just curious really. Do beardies start to slow down in their growth rate at about 6 months?
I'm not entirely sure on Gorbash's age but I think she must be around the 5-6 month mark right now. When I first got her back in January she was growing at nearly an inch a week but she has grown only about half an inch over the last couple of weeks and is now around 14 inches. I don't have any health concerns with her. She continues to have a healthy appetite, eating 70+ small/med reptiworms in a sitting and loves her greens, though I haven't managed to get her to eat anything else fruit/veg wise yet. She's also active, poos regularly etc.
She looks like she's putting weight on and bulking out a bit, much the same as my dogs did at around the same age, she just seems to have slowed down a lot on growing lengthwise and I wondered if this was normal. She's also starting to eat more greens. I'm finding I have to refill her bowl with greens during the day on top of her usual one bowl of greens and two sittings of reptiworms.
