Beardie growth ok?

Hi all, I have not been on here in quite some time. I recently moved and got a new beardie, Yoda. I got him in late July and i estimated that he was 3 months old. This would make him about 8 months old. I have read a lot of posts that say their dragons are 400-500 grams at 10 months. Yoda is only 173g, a far cry from 400. I know that all dragons grow at different rates, but I want to make sure he is doing ok.

Care info:

- 40b tank with screen lid
- Repti carpet
- 160w Mega ray MVB bulb
Basking spot @ 95-100 degrees
Cool side about 80 degrees
- Offered greens daily
Collard greens, Turnip greens, squash (cooked), asperagus (cooked), bell pepper
- Crickets or Dubia at least every other day, I am waiting on a large order of roaches in addition to a starter colony, so should be everyday very soon.

He did have a parasite load, but he was given meds a little over a week ago, and he seems to be doing fine now.

I try to replace the repti carpet everyday with a clean one, but it is sometimes every couple of days.

His care sounds good to me. They all grow at different rates though so it's hard to say for sure. Can you post some photos of him? If he's eating well and is active he's probably fine but you can also tell their health by the fat pads on top of their head and base of the tail and by the development of their arm and leg muscles so photos would help.

im in the same boat.

bought a beardie 2 months ago. from what we figure its about 6 months old. it was definately a runt when we got it, but now seems to be growing quite quick. ive been keeping track, and its grown about 2 to 2.5 inches, and has gained about 22 grams in the last month. is it normal for them to grown so quick all of a sudden? it eats about 10 mealworms and 10 to 20 crickets everyday and hasnt taken to veggies yet.

I know that they can grow quite fast. I had one years ago that seemed to grow bigger everyday. I would imagine that growth spurts are not uncommon, after all, it happens to us too. I just received my Dubia order today, so I am hopeful that my guy grows faster with a steady supply of nutritious protein. My guy has been eating some greens since he was only a couple months old. He likes his collard greens, but he LOVES yellow bell pepper. He doesn't care for the green bell peppers, just yellow bell pepper.

Cooper, I will try to get some pics tonight. I am confident that he is healthy. He is very active and alert, and attacks any food I offer him, especially if it is moving!

Don't feed mealworms. They can cause impaction. Try dubias, crickets, silkworms, small hornworms, and BSFL
