Have you checked out a product called Reptaid by Amber Technology ... they have pretty much deemed this the miracle elixir for reptile ailments. The local reptile store Stingers Exotics in Livonia Michigan suggested it to me... they've done trials and it's showed great improvement with most cases of problems. Most important it's all natural. Check it out.

Hi there, sorry but the website has been giving me trouble it logs me on then sits on a blank screen all the time.
Dylan is much the same, moves only when I move him out of his hide and has to be force fed, I force fed him a cricket today and it was the 1st time he didn't spit it back out again.
He gets his baths and has bowel movements but they are loose (prob coz of the food) and he is not showing interest in anything.
Some days he seems perkier and others he seems like its the end, I was fully prepared to take home to the vet today to say goodbye but then he lapped up his "porridge" so I changed my mind for the millionth time.
As for repaid I have used it in the past but am struggling to find it again, may have found a vet who will import it for me so will go see him about it. In the meantime he is on "reptimed introboost" to up his electrolytes and give him a bit of an appitite, no change so far.
I am still spending all day every day wondering if I'm doing the right thing by forcing him to eat and keeping Him going if he is in in pain or anything like that.

I am going away in August and am thinking if I am still force feeding by the time I go away then it's time for me to make the decision for him, is that unrealistic time line?

Hello,

I am sorry I missed your latest post.
Yes, on the blood test results, I am looking for uric acid levels, along with AST levels, plus the overall assessment. How swollen is the leg, do you have a picture?
I am thinking possible gout, but not sure. How do they eyes look?
Is he eating anything at all?

Will try get you the results, the leg is noticeably swollen but not discoloured and he doesn't seem to be in any pain. He eats only what I syringe feed him but today when giving him his introboost he threw up, an orange liquid (almost a syrupy consistency) he is much the same otherwise but spends more time hiding then ever before, I'm really starting to stress about him now.
Yesterday in the bath he just lay flat and only picked up his head after I made little waves for him in the water, he is not drinking on his own anymore (however i did find him in his shallow water dish today) not sure if he went in onnpurpose or not, and he shuts his eyes to food. He does lap up some porraige every now and then so I guess it's not completely hopeless…
Also I have covered half his tank to give him a bigger retreat from the world without moving to far from the uv light - I doesn't help much.
Oh his eyes are still swollen, they haven't seem to gotten any bigger but will check with past photos tomorrow when he is awake.

Hello,

Thanks. I really would like to see blood test results when possible.
I am sorry he is not doing well right now.
What type of foods are you offering him? I would try to get 3-4mls of oral fluids into him daily in case he is having renal issues.
Can you get any probiotics to help with his tummy? Try some non dairy soy yogurt or acidophiliz to help with an upset tummy & digestion.
You can also try using a plastic dropper or plastic syringe to try & get him to drink that way also.
His eyes are about the same?
I can send my email if you want to email me the blood test results.
Are there any other areas on his body that are swollen?
I hope he is feeling better.

Hope Dylan feels better. My little guy, Chico is going thru the same--swollen eyes, lethargic, loss of appetite, black beard, etc. so I've been searching all over the internet on how to help him.

Took him to the vet but he couldn't do anything unless I paid more $$, and I cannot afford it now. Your post and the comments have been helpful though.

Let us know any updates. Take care,

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
