Beardie eating less, arm waving, and head bobbing

Just as the title says, the past couple days my bearded dragon Dexter (I was told he's a male when he was 3 months, I'm not entirely sure) has started head bobbing and arm waving ALOT. He never used to do any of this. He went into a semi brumation I think over the winter. He would not come out of his cave on his own and ate less. But last month he started acting normal again and eating more. But now he's not eating or eating very little once again. He's SUPER active, constantly tearing his cage apart. He basks normally but now does loads of head bobbing and arm waving? Is it breeding time or what? I'm concerned, should I be?

Also, he used to eat veggies prior to "brumating". Now he won't touch them. Any ideas what happened and how to make him eat them again? I've tried every veggie. So it's not a matter of finding what he likes.

Well I'm not sure about the behavior, but as for the a veggies? Not much you can do except keep offering them and hope he eats them. You could also put some of his live food in with his veggies and he might snap them up, along with the veggies. Give him a treat of something in the veggies. Otherwise not much else you can do, except offer daily.

If he lives on his own, and he can't see other dragons - and he's recently had a winter nap - then yes, it's SPRINGTIME! Spring dragons do a LOT of showing off, bobbing and glass dancing.

At this age, he's currently waving to gain acceptance and "don't pick on me" from you. Wave back at him
